I thought I would share with you what I got for Christmas this year since I think it’s always nice to look back on and appreciate every gift even if it’s not the most extravagant or luxurious.
As i have just brought my own house a lot of my gifts were house related and essentials with a few surprises thrown in! So here goes…
Firstly, I got a few things Beauty and The Beast related (as this is my favorite Disney Movie) So I thought I would put these together in one photo. There is a beautiful pillar candle, a pot of Rose hand cream and these little tins of lip balms. Cute, cute, cute!
I also got this cute little tin candle from my brother which smells so sweet and yummy!
My brother also brought me this distance/room measurer which might sound like a boring present to you but for me its extremely useful and just what I wanted as it will really help me out with my job!
My Dad got me a microwave which was my main present as I didn’t have one before and fits perfectly in my new kitchen. Loving the retro look!
Other ‘adulting’ and useful gifts I got were a wall mounted letter and key holder and this utensil pot for my kitchen.
Yes – I realise we just went from Disney things to official grown up stuff, this is what Christmas as a 29-year-old looks like people!
A close friend got me these amazing drinks coasters from the album covers of my favorite band (Placebo) and I love them!
I feel like Christmas is never Christmas without receiving a pair of socks and I’m so pleased I got these cute pair from Joules from my brother, they are perfect!
Two books I received were Henry Fraser memoir ‘The Little Big Things’ which I am really looking forward to reading and a Vegetarian ‘5 Ingredient’ cookbook which will come in handy for whipping up some quick meals.
As I’m kind of a sucker for superstition, luck and all things spiritual I love it when I receive things like this. A lucky bracelet with a lotus flower charm and a Feng Shui light catcher crystal to hand in the window of my new house – I love them!
As a blogger (albeit a new blogger) I am ashamed to say I did not own a light box before which I think almost every blogger/Instagrammer must have by now. So thanks to my sister for buying me one finally!
And that was what I got for Christmas 2017 as well as few other things such as a Next Gift card and a small wooden rabbit decoration which were equally appreciated!
I feel very lucky to have received what I did and I appreciate everyone who went out their way to think of me, buy a gift and spend the time wrapping or sending them. It doesn’t matter what it is or if you got anything. Christmas for me is about being with family and friends and showing them you care/love them whether it’s through words or presents and I hope that you all enjoyed your day in whatever way makes you happy.
Happy new year everyone!
